| 국문 초록 | 본 연구는 성경에서 거듭 강조하는 봉사적 삶이 구체적인 봉사활동의 형태로 실천될 때, 봉사의 경험을 하는 청소년 개인이 어떠한 유익을 갖는지 내용분석법을 활용하여 학문적 관점에서 분석하였다. 특히 교육학에서 다양한 긍정 효과를 보고하는 봉사활동이란 것은 성경의 다수 구절을 통해 하나님과 사람을 향한 사랑의 표현이자 섬김의 자세로 이해할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 더 나아가 기독청소년의 봉사행동이 신앙심에 근거하지 않은 여느 일반학생의 봉사수행과 어떤 측면에서 다를 수 있는지 신앙적, 공동체적, 환경적 조건들과의 상호작용 측면의 내용을 다룬 문헌연구를 통해 밝히고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 특히 이를 교육심리이론들을 접목하여 관련한 경험연구와 함께 교육학적으로 분석하고, 그 유익의 차별성에 대해 살펴보았으며, 세부내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기독청소년의 봉사활동을 기대가치이론에 근거하여 해석해보면 이들은 봉사활동을 성경적 근거에 따라 바라보고, 그 중요성을 인식하는 과정에서 봉사에 대해 비교적 높은 과제가치를 지각하게 된다. 둘째, 자기결정성이론에 근거하여 분석해보면, 기독청소년의 봉사행동은 신앙공동체와 공유된 사회적 정체성에 합치하는 내용으로, 봉사 과정에서 높은 목표 자기일치성을 경험할 수 있어 봉사몰입에 유리하다. 마지막으로, 사회학습이론에 접목하여 보면 기독청소년은 교회학교 출석을 통해 봉사실천가라는 롤모델을 빈번하게 접하고 이를 통해 모방학습효과가 발생하는 유익이 있다. 이와 더불어, 교육학 내에서 기존에 이루어지던 일반적인 봉사활동이 개인에게 미치는 유익을 광범위한 차원에서 나를 찾아가는 과정(자아 관련), 나를 발전시키는 과정(역량 관련), 사회인으로 준비되는 과정(소양 관련), 세 가지 측면으로 나누어 살펴보았고, 봉사가 궁극적으로 개인의 성장과 성숙에 어떻게 기여하는 지 정리하였다. |
| 영문 초록 | Doing good to others including taking part in certain volunteering work is aligned with God's words and the guidance in living Christian lives. In educational field, volunteering work is acknowledged as one of the activities that has positive effects for the participants and therefore, it has been widely researched by many different scholars so far. Considering the fact that volunteering work is in accordance with biblical teaching, identifying and searching for the meaning of volunteering work with academic viewpoint will bring out many useful discussions on how to help the Christian youths to find out the better way they can become the ones living according to what they learned and realized. This study mainly focused and sought to identify the Christian youths' volunteering behaviors and following positive effects with educational perspectives by reviewing literature. Especially and specifically in this study, educational psychological theories was applied in order to analyze and reinterpret the Christian adolescents' volunteering works discriminately from non-Christian youths': Expectancy-value theory, Self-determination theory, and Social learning theory. In a nutshell, applying three different theories with diverse experimental research and case studies, this study concluded that Christianity plays critical roles in understanding of and participation in volunteering works. For example, Christian youths are more likely to understand and perceive volunteering works with high value, which leads them to better conceptualize it with biblical importance. Second, when Christian youths acknowledge the volunteering works is aligned well with their religious social identity, they can get engaged in it more actively and deeply, experiencing high degree of goal self-concordance. Lastly, surrounding volunteers that Christian adolescents face in their churches, faith small groups or organizations become good role models from whom they are encouraged to learn how to live love-doers' lives by doing volunteering activities. |
