| 국문 초록 | 본 연구는 기독교사회복지 연구방법에 대한 이론적 고찰이다. 오늘날 사회복지는 실증주의 연구 방법에 경도(傾倒)되어 있다(이른바 methodolatry = method + idolatry라고 불리는). 실증주의는 계량(計量)화로 인해 영성이나 종교를 배제한다. 그러나 기독교사회복지는 기독교와 사회복지의 통합을 추구한다. 그렇기 때문에 영성이나 종교를 배제하는 (논리) 실증주의 연구방법은 기독교사회복지의 연구방법으로서 한계를 지닌다. 그렇다면 기독교사회복지 연구방법은 어떠해야 하는가? 다음에서 그 해답을 찾을 수 있다. (1) 실증주의 연구방법이 유일한 연구방법이 아니라는 점이다. 사회복지에 있어서 ‘많은 종류의 앎’이 존재하기 때문에 사회복지학의 발전을 위해서는 많은 연구방법들에 대해서 고려해야만 한다. (2) 기독교사회복지학은 신앙에 근거한 학문적 정체성을 지닌다는 점이다. (3) 그리고 연구자(윌버와 윌슨의 경우)들이 자신들의 세계관에 근거하여 자신들의 세계관(신앙)과 학문의 통합을 꾀하고 있다는 점이다. 그러므로 기독교사회복지 연구방법은 특정한 연구방법에 경도되어서는 안 될 것이며, 학문적 정체성을 유지해야 할 것이다. 더 나아가서는 기독교세계관을 고수해야 할 것이다. “모든 진리가 하나님의 진리이다”라고 한 것처럼, “모든 연구방법 또한 하나님의 것”인 점을 기억하자. |
| 영문 초록 | The Purpose of this study is to develop a Christian social welfare research method, which is based on the theoretical approach. In the present days, most of the social welfare research methods are inclined to the research method of positivism(so-called, methodolatry = method + idolatry). Because the method of (logical) positivism pursues quantitative research method, it excludes concept of religion and spirituality. On the other hand, since Christian social welfare seeks the integration of faith and social welfare, applying the research method of positivism to develop a method of Christian social welfare would not be suitable. How should we approach Christian Social Welfare research method? There are three considerations to follow. (1) Method of positivism is not the only approach to this research. Since there are ‘Many ways of knowing’ in social welfare, we should consider other approaches of method in order to develop the knowledge of social welfare. (2) Significantly, Christian Social Welfare has distinct academic identity based on Christian faith. (3) Many Researchers such as Ken Wilber and Edward O. Wilson, based their world-views to integrate between their faith or belief and the academic knowledge. Therefore Christian Social Welfare research method should not be inclined to specific approach of research methods, but adhere to true academic identity. Christian social welfare researchers should base their Christian faith as their world-views. Keep in mind that as all truth is God''s truth, all research methods are God''s. |
