| 국문 초록 | 오늘날 과학교육의 중요한 목적인 ‘과학적 소양인 양성’에 충실하기 위해서는 과학교과가 과학의 본성을 진실되게 담아내고 세계관적으로 균형을 갖추는 노력이 필요함에도 불구하고, 현행 과학 교육과정은 일방적으로 자연주의적 세계관에만 기반을 두고 있는 문제점을 드러내고 있다. 이에 과학의 세계관적 기초를 분명하게 하고 세계관 간의 비교를 통한 종합적인 사고의 기회를 열어줌과 동시에 특정 주제에 대한 통합적인 이해를 제고시키는 방향으로의 과학 단원 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등과학교과 수준에서 물을 주제로 선정하여 물과 관련된 자연현상을 통합적으로 이해할 수 있는 과학 단원으로써 단원의 목표, 내용, 방법, 평가의 틀을 제시하였다. 진화론적 개념 일변도의 서술방식에서 벗어나, 물질과 자연현상을 이해함에 있어 기독교 세계관에 기초한 기원과학적 해석을 근거로 서술해냄으로써 균형 있는 세계관적 이해가 가능하도록 단원을 구성하였다. 단원의 내용은 진화론-창조론의 비교 접근을 통해 물의 기원에 관한 자연주의적 및 유신론적 이론에 대한 종합적 이해를 도모하고, 창조의 핵심 원리가 되는 설계적 특징이 잘 나타나도록 지적설계 접근을 중심으로 물의 특성들을 소개하였으며, 배운 내용을 바탕으로 학생들이 세계관적 기초 아래 물의 특성이 어느 기원론을 지지하는지 스스로 판단해 보도록 하였다. 또한 물과 관련된 사회 문제들을 STS 접근을 통해 창조-타락-구속의 관점으로 이해할 수 있도록 하며, 성경적 접근을 통해 물을 통한 영적 메시지를 묵상해 보도록 구성하였다. 기독교 세계관에 기초한 물 관련 통합 단원의 개발이라는 본 연구의 시도를 통해 과학교육 교재의 활용 범위가 기독학교에서 공립학교까지 확대될 것과 기독교 세계관에 기초한 과학 통합단원 개발의 기초 자료로 도움이 될 것을 기대한다. |
| 영문 초록 | Even though the most important goal of science education is ''to foster the scientifically-cultured person'', the science curriculum in public education is based mainly on naturalism which lacks objectivity. However, science could have one of two possible worldviews, atheism and theism, which means that it is required to compare the worldview-basis of science and reflect the result in the science curriculum for students’ correct understanding. In this study, as an example, we selected a theme of ‘water’ to develop one textbook unit in elementary science curriculum. Materials and natural phenomena related to water were explained through both of naturalistic and theistic worldview for comparison with a purpose of leading students into proper scientific comprehension. Especially we described the structural and physicochemical properties of water based on the concept of intelligent design to provide a theistic perspective on water-related natural phenomena. In addition, some social problems and Biblical stories related to water were also included to complete the development of an integrative unit based on a Christian worldview. |
