| 국문 초록 |
성경이 명백한 답을 하지 않는 문제이면서도 중요한 교리적 함의가 있는 문제에 대해서 교회는 일반적으로 초대 교회 교부들이나 역사적으로 유명한 신학자들이 그 문제에 관해 어떤 입장을 취하였는가를 살펴본다. 창조연대에 대한 문제는 근대가 시작될 때까지만 해도 교회에서 크게 중요한 문제로 부각되지 않았다. 그러나 18세기 현대 지질학이 대두되고, 19세기 중반 다윈에 의한 현대 진화론이 시작되면서, 그리고 자연주의와 결합된 진화론이 지질학의 기초위에 세워지면서 우주와 지구, 생물의 연대문제는 기독교계에서 첨예한 문제로 대두되게 되었다. 아래에서는 초대 교회로부터 종교개혁기를 거쳐 근대에 이르기까지 교회 지도자들이 역사적으로 창조 연대 문제에 관하여 어떤 입장을 취하였는가를 살펴본다. |

The majority of the church leaders of the early through the middle age church interpreted the YOM as an indefinite period, while the scholars between the Reformation and 18th century accepted the young earth. With the appearance of modern geology, however, the Day-Age perspective was dominant as a best harmonization between the biblical interpretation and modern geology. From the controversy over the creation date, we suggest that we should accept some inevitable ambiguities in the creation date discussion and that the date inevitable ambiguities in the creation date discussion and that the date controversy is unnecessary as far as the antiquities of the earth and universe are directly related to the atheistic evolutionism. |
