이 논문의 목적은 인구고령화의 문제점을 세속주의 확산이라는 관점에서 파악하여 기독교적인 대책을 제시하는 것이다. 최근에 한국 사회가 빠르게 고령화됨에 따라 학계와 정부에서는 이에 대한 여러 대책이 제시되었다. 그러나 대부분 경제문제에 국한되어서 고령화 문제의 핵심을 놓치고 있다고 파악하였다. 인구고령화 문제의 근본 원인은 세속주의의 확산에 있으며, 최근의 생명과학기술의 발전은 고령화 추세를 우리가 예상한 것 보다 더 빠른 속도로 가속화 시킬 수 있음을 지적하였다. 이를 해결하기 위해서는 전통 가족관계나 종교의 역할이 회복이 되어 세속주의 확산에 제동을 걸어야 하며, 이것이 근본적인 치유책이라는 사실을 사회에 알려야 할 사명이 교회에 있다는 것을 강조하였다. 또한 생명과학기술의 발전으로 인간의 생명을 무한히 늘리려고 하는 시도는 기원논쟁에 새로운 측면을 부여할 것이며, 이러한 유물론의 도전에 기독교가 효과적으로 대응을 해야 한다는 것을 강조하였다. |
| 영문 초록 |
The purpose of this article is to supply the Christian solution for the aging problem from the perspective of secularism. According to the rapid transfer to the aged society, the Korean academic societies and the government suggest various answers for the problems. But it is pointed out that the most answers aimed at the economic problems and therefore they lost the important factor, which is the secularism, the core of the source of the aging problem, and that the development of life science technology accelerate the speed of the aging society more than we expected. In order to solve various problems due to the aging, the family relationship and the role of the religion should be recovered and stop the trend of secularization, and the church should let the society know it. Furthermore, the attempt to extend the length of life infinitely through the development of life science technology will bring new dispute on the origin disputes between creationism and evolutionism. It is stressed for the Christians to respond to the challenge of the materialism. |
