본 연구의 목적은 기독교교육의 특성을 고려한 기독교적 역량기반교육을 탐색하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 역량기반교육의 선행연구 검토를 통해 국내외 실천사례들을 분석하여 기독교학교에서 적용할 시사점을 찾아보았다. 다음, 역량기반교육에 대한 기독교적 이해를 위해 기독교교육학자들의 교육에 대한 논의를 기반으로 역량기반교육을 검토하여 기독교학교가 추구하는 기독교적 역량에는 무엇이 있는지 알아보았다. 본 논문에서는 문제해결력, 창의적사고력, 자기관리능력 등 일반적 핵심역량 외에 영적감수성, 다문화감수성, 공동체역량, 정의평화감수성 등을 기독교적 핵심역량으로 제시하였다. 이러한 논의들을 기반으로 기독교학교에서 실시할 수 있는 역량기반교육의 구체적 방안을 제시하였다. 그 방안에는 기독교적 핵심역량에 대한 탐구, 교육과정 재구조화를 위한 노력, 교과외 교육활동 강화, 교수학습 과정과 평가의 개선, 행정지원 시스템 구축 등을 포함하였다. 그리고 역량기반교육을 기독교학교에서 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서는 학교구성원들이 현 교육에 대한 변화의 필요성을 느끼고 소망하는 사회에 대한 열망과 그 사회에 필요한 역량에 대한 생각을 공유하는 것이 중요함을 지적하였다. 기독교학교에서의 역량기반교육에 대한 논의는 기독교학교가 우리사회의 건강한 성장에 필요한 실천적인 인재를 양성하는데 기여할 것이고, 이를 통해 과거 기독교학교가 우리사회에서 가졌던 높은 사회적 신뢰를 다시 회복할 수 있으리라 기대한다. |
| 영문 초록 |
The purpose of this study is to explore the competency-based education in the light of Christian education. Firstly, I, through reviewing previous studies on the competency-based education, analyzed some domestic and international cases and tried to find out implications for a Christian School. Then, I reviewed the competency-based education based on Christian understanding of education and suggested Christian key competencies that a Christian school should try to achieve. In this article, spiritual sensitivity, multicultural sensitivity, community capacity, and justice-peace sensitivity as Christian key competencies as well as problem solving, creative thinking skills, and self-management skills as general key competencies, are proposed. After that, specific measures of the competency-based education that can be done in a Christian school are suggested. The quest for Christian key competencies and efforts for restructuring curriculum, improving extracurricular activities, strengthening teaching and learning process and assessment, and building administrative support systems are included. It is important to share the reflection on the current schooling, aspiration for desired society, and thoughts about key competencies needed in our society. This discussion of the competency-based education in a Christian school would contribute to the development of competent human resources necessary for growth of our society, and through this Christian schools can regain the high social trust that past Christian schools had in our society. |
