우리시대에 들어 세계의 사회문화의 지형을 크게 바꾸어 놓고 있는 글로벌 다원주의 문화는 기독교 신앙과 특히 선교에도 매우 복잡한 도전을 가져온다. 하지만 지난 2000년동안 다양한 문화 속에 복음을 전한 경험을 가진 기독교는 이미 그와 흡사한 상황을 여러 차례 겪은 경험을 가지고 있다. 그 오랜 선교적 경험에서 축적된 문화적 통찰과 지혜가 오늘의 전지구적 다원주의 현실에서 야기되는 도전에 대처함에 자산이 되어야 마땅하다. 이 글의 목적은 우리시대의 다원주의와 “선교적 대면”을 함에 그 지혜를 새롭게 되살려 내는 것이 관건임을 보임에 있다. 그 지혜의 복원에는 기독교 세계관 전통의 지혜가 근래에 부상한 “선교적 교회론”과 결합될 필요가 있다. 그럴 경우, 이른바 다원주의 문화에 대한 효과적인 선교적 만남을 이루는 일에 기여할 수 있다. |
| 영문 초록 |
Global pluralist culture, a dynamic force of change in today’s socio-cultural geography, presents complex challenges to the Christian faith - especially to mission work. However, Christianity has had much experience in dealing with many similar situations over the last two thousand years of evangelizing in various cultures. The cultural insight and wisdom accumulated through mission work during this period should be regarded as a great resource in coping with the challenges of today’s global pluralistic environment. This study aims to show that the recovery of this wisdom is a key element in “missional encounter” with our pluralist culture. It also intends to demonstrate that integrating traditon of Christian worldview and the recently emerging “missional ecclesiology” could create an effective missional encounter with the challenges of our global pluralist culture. |
