| 국문 초록 | 노동, 저축, 나눔의 윤리는 현대경제에서 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 성경의 가르침과 기독교의 여러 문헌들은 노동, 저축, 나눔의 윤리를 지지하는 것으로 판단된다. 예를 들어 존 웨슬리는 더 많이 일하고, 더 많이 저축하며, 더 많이 기부하는 것이 기독교 경제윤리라고 말하고 있다. 본 연구는 기독교인의 노동, 저축, 나눔 행위에 대한 실증적 고찰을 시도하였다. 이를 위하여 통계청이 제공하는 1990∼2014년 가계동향조사의 미시자료(MDSS)를 이용하였는데, 통계청 자료는 종교를 구분하고 있지 않기 때문에 본 연구는 종교활동가구 전체에 대한 실증분석을 수행할 수밖에 없었다. 실증분석을 통해 의미있는 결과를 얻게 되었다. 첫째, 종교활동가구의 노동과 저축활동이 비종교활동가구에 비해 활발했다고 보기는 어려웠다. 둘째, 그럼에도 불구하고 종교활동가구의 나눔활동은 비종교활동가구에 비해 표본 전 기간에 걸쳐 유의하게 더 활발하였다. 결론적으로 나눔의 윤리는 유효하게 작용하였다고 볼 수 있지만 노동과 저축의 윤리는 그렇다고 보기 어려웠다. |
| 영문 초록 | The ethics of working, saving, sharing play very important roles in the modern economy. We think that the Bible and literatures about the Christian economic ethics support behaviors of working, saving, sharing. For example, John Wesley said that the Christian should work more, save more, give more. This research tried to analyze working, saving, sharing behaviors of the Christian. To do this, we use the micro-data(MDSS) from Household Income and Expenditure Survey from 1990 to 2014, but these data does not provide information about the religion of households. Evidences say some meaningful results. First, it is not that religious households have worked more and saved more. Second, it is obvious that religious households have contributed much more than non-religious households for the whole period. The ethics of sharing is effective, but those of working and saving is not. |
