본 연구는 우량 기업이 가진 탁월함을 기독교 세계관의 관점으로 고찰하고자 하였다. 경영학 분야에서는 우량 기업의 특징을 찾아내기 위한 연구가 많이 수행되었다. 본 연구는 우량 기업에서 나타나는 탁월한 여러 특징이 기독교 세계관에 충돌되지 않으며, 기업 경영 분야에서는 지혜로운 잠언처럼 사용될 수 있다고 생각한다. 본 연구의 주요 논지는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기업은 자본주의 자유시장경제 체제를 대표하는 기관으로 기업 자체는 원래 선하다. 다만 악하게 운영되는 기업이 있는 것이다. 둘째, 경영학 분야에서 수행된 연구에서 도출된 우량 기업의 탁월한 특징들은 성경의 정신에 위배되지 않는다. 셋째, 인류에게 일은 ‘영적 또는 일반적 의미에서의 성장’, ‘공동체 경험과 이웃 섬김’, ‘피조물의 잠재력 현실화’라는 의의를 갖는다. 넷째, 기업을 통해 일을 하는 것은 일의 세 가지 의미인 ‘개인의 성장’, ‘이웃 섬김’, ‘피조물의 잠재력 현실화’ 등의 영역에서 그 대상과 규모가 획기적으로 확대되는 의미가 있다. 다섯째, 우량 기업의 여러 탁월한 특징들에 대한 연구 결과들은 기업을 통해 일하는 것이 갖는 기독교적 의의 세 가지와 잘 연결되었다. 우량 기업들은 오직 돈만 추구하는 것이 아니라 기독교 세계관으로 볼 때에도 타당한 원리들을 추구한다. |
| 영문 초록 |
This paper tried to investigate distinguishing characteristics of excellent companies in terms of the Christian worldview. There are many research outputs in the area of business management to find important characteristics of excellent companies. This study suggests that excellent characteristics of such researches could be used as wise proverbs in the field of business management without conflict with the Christian worldview. Major arguments in this paper are like these. First, companies are representative institutions of the capitalist free market economy system. Although some of them are operated badly, they are basically good. Second, distinguishing characteristics of excellent companies derived from prior researches in business management are not contrary to biblical mind. Third, to man, work has meanings such as ‘growth in both spiritual and general sense,’ ‘experiencing community and serving others,’ and ‘actualizing creatures’ potential.’ Fourth, the significance of work through companies involves dramatic expansion of ‘growth,’ ‘serving others,’ and ‘actualizing creatures’ potential’ compared to an individual level. Fifth, distinguishing characteristics of excellent companies are matched well with the meaning of work through companies. Excellent companies pursue not only money. They pursue right principles beyond money, which are relevant to the Christian worldview. |
