| 국문 초록 | 본고의 목적은 학령기 아동의 인지 발달의 특성과 활동이 아동의 현재와 미래, 부모의 양육 목표에 미치는 영향과 의미를 고찰하고 성경적 대안을 제시하는 것에 있다. 본 연구는 이 시대의 교육 문화와 부모 양육의 목적을 자율성과 독창성, 개성을 통한 주체성 형성으로 보았다. 주체성 형성이 중요한 이유에 대해서는 자녀의 성공과 안전을 추구하는 시대의 영향으로 정의하고, 이에 따른 아동의 삶의 목표를 위한 성경적 대안으로 ‘하나님 경외’를 제시하였다. 연구의 과정은 학령기 아동의 인지발달 영역으로서의 실행 기능, 문제 해결 능력, 의사결정 능력을 중심으로 자의식과 자기개념 형성의 상호 관련성을 고찰한다. 다음으로 긍정적인 자의식과 자아개념 형성의 결과로서 유능성과 자율성이 중요한 이유에 대해 논의한다. 논의를 통해 학령기 아동기 인지 발달 목표를 위한 과도한 과업은 외적으로는 사회적 맥락에 준거한 발달 과업이며, 내적으로는 사회적 맥락에 영향을 받은 부모의 욕구 체계라는 결론을 얻었다. 이에 아동의 인지 발달의 목표가 되는 유능성과 주체성 형성을 포괄할 뿐 아니라 삶의 더 깊은 의미와 가치를 위한 성경적 삶의 기술과 지혜를 제고(提高)하였다. 결론적으로 아동기 인지 발달에서의 활동의 목표는 삶의 질서와 기초를 위한 지혜의 습득이라는 대안을 제시하였다. 지혜의 제시는 이 시대의 부모, 학령기 아동의 실천 현장의 구체적 요구를 위한 원리를 제공한다. |
| 영문 초록 | The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of cognitive development in school-age children and to explore how their developmental activities influence both their present and future lives, as well as their parent’s child-rearing goals, while presenting biblical alternatives. This study views the goal of modern education and parenting as fostering autonomy, creativity, and individuality for the formation of subjectivity. The importance of subjectivity is defined as an outcome of the contemporary pursuit of children’s success and safety. As a biblical alternative for the life goals shaped by this societal influence, the study proposes the concept of “the fear of God.” The research focuses on the interrelations among executive function, problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, self-awareness, and self-concept as key cognitive developmental domains in school-age children. It further discusses the significance of competence and autonomy as results of positive self-awareness and self-concept formation. Through this discussion, the study concludes that the excessive tasks often imposed on children are, externally, development tasks dictated by social norms and internally, reflections of parental desire systems shaped by those same contexts. Accordingly, this study emphasizes not only competence and subjectivity as goals of children’s cognitive development but also the cultivation of biblical life skills and wisdom that lead to deeper meaning and value in life. Ultimately, it presents the acquisition of wisdom as the goal of activities in children’s cognitive development-providing foundational principles for the life order and practical guidance required by today’s parents and educational settings for the school-age children. |
