| 국문 초록 | 최근 기독교상담에 대한 이해는 다중관점 접근을 중심으로 발전하고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 존슨(2010)은 기독교상담에 대해 설명 수준 관점, 통합적 관점, 기독교 심리학 관점, 변형 심리학 관점, 성경적 상담 관점의 다섯 가지 관점을 제시했다. 이러한 다중관점은 실재에 대한 하나님의 전체적인 이해와 인간의 제한된 이해를 구분한다는 점에서 의미를 지니고 있지만, 상호 모순과 상대주의적 태도라는 약점을 지니고 있다. 본 소고에서는 이러한 다중관점 접근의 약점을 극복하기 위하여 매킨타이어가 제시한 “전통”이라는 관점, 그 중에서도 목회 돌봄 전통을 통하여 기독교상담을 이해하고자 하였다. 목회돌봄은 신약시대부터 현재에 이르기까지 교회 내 고통받는 이들을 돌보는 하나의 전통으로 이어져 오고 있다. 그리고 이러한 목회돌봄 전통은 또한 그 시대의 교회에 대한 이해 그리고 영혼돌봄이라는 상위 전통으로부터 이어져왔다. 목회돌봄 전통은 기독교상담에 대한 다섯 가지 관점에 깊게 영향을 미쳤고, 이러한 논의를 통해서 앞으로 지금의 기독교상담이 어떤 전통으로부터 영향을 받았는지에 대하여 겸손히 인정하고, 여기에 머무르지 않고 계속된 지적 논의를 통하여 기독교상담이 하나의 살아있는 전통으로 이어져 가기를 제안했다. |
| 영문 초록 | Recently, Christian counseling has developed through a multiperspectives approach. Within this framework, Johnson(2010) proposed five Christian counseling perspectives: the levels-of-explanation, integrative, Christian psychology, transformational psychology, and biblical counseling views. While this multi-perspective approach is valuable in distinguishing between God’s comprehensive understanding about the reality and humanity’s limited understanding, it also has weaknesses such as internal inconsistency and relativism. To address these limitations, this study employs McIntyre’s concept of “tradition,” focusing particularly on the pastoral care tradition as a lens for understanding Christian counseling. The pastoral care tradition has persisted from the New Testament era to the present, serving as the church’s practice of caring for those who suffer in the church. In addition, it has developed within broader traditions of ecclesial understanding and the care of souls. This paper argues that the pastoral care tradition has deeply influenced these five views of Christian counseling. Therefore, Christian counseling should humbly acknowledge the traditions that have shaped it and continue to engage in ongoing intellectual dialogue, thereby sustaining itself as a living tradition. |
