최근 한국에서는 세대를 이해하고 세대 간의 갈등을 줄이려는 이론적 대안들이 모색되고 있다. 세대의 문제는 한국 사회의 갈등과 미래적 전망과 밀접한 연관이 있기 때문에, 기독교적 문화변혁의 사명과 연관 지어 볼 때, 매우 중요한 쟁점인 것이다. 이를 위하여, 본 논문은 최근 한국의 세대론에 대한 이론들을 조망하면서 이에 대응하는 기독교적 연구의 방향을 타진해보는 것이다. 먼저, 세대론에 대한 이해, 또한 사회학, 심리학, 인류학적인 측면에서 전개된 세대연구들을 파악한 다음, 비교 문화적 관점에서 미국의 세대이해가 기독교적으로 어떻게 활용되고 있는지를 보여준다. 이는 또한 세대 문제에 대한 기독교적 적용의 실마리를 얻을 수 있는 근거가 될 것이다. 또한 이러한 세대론적 연구는 기독교의 사회적 영향력 발휘와 교회의 선교적 사명을 위해서 직접적인 자료연구로 나아갈 수 있다. |

Recently, Serveral important studies of generational differences in Korea have been conducted that have generated some significant results. Addressing the generational conflict in Korean society may be an urgent task for Christian intellectuals to take into account. This study describes the current state of generational studies in Korea and explore the possibility of Christian engagement with such academic endeavors for the purpose of exercising Christian leadership within the larger society and for discovering missional contact points within different generations. Finally, this study calls for interdisciplinary dfforts in setting an agenda for Christian generational studies in a Korean context by illuminating cases of generational studies in America and their application to Christian churches. |
