성경해석이 우리의 신앙의 삶에 밀접한 영향을 주는 것처럼 성경해석은 사회복지실천에도 밀접한 영향을 준다. 인간의 이해 문제 즉, 인간을 자율적 인간으로 이해할 것이냐 아니면 하나님 앞에 책임 있는 존재로 이해하느냐, 빈곤(사회문제)의 원인을 개인적 성향으로 볼 것이냐 아니면 사회구조적 문제로 이해할 것이냐, 기독교사회복지실천의 목적이 전도를 위한 것이냐 아니면, 사회적 책임을 위한 것이냐 하는 것도 모두 성경해석과 관계가 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 이유들로 인하여 기독교세계관의 관점에서의 성경의 해석하고 사회복지를 실천하는 것은 매우 중요하다.

Biblical interpretation affects our lives likewise the Biblical interpretation affects social welfare. For example, Are Human beings either an autonomous beings or a responsible beings? Is the cause of poverty either a personal inclination or a social structure? Is the purpose of Christian social welfare either mission or social responsibility? All of this has to do with interpretation. Interpretation of this kind affects Christian social welfare. Therefore Christian World-view perspective is important to interpret the Bible and to practice Christian Social Welfare.
