| 국문 초록 | 이 글이 지향하는 목적은 두 가지이다. 첫째 아브라함 카이퍼의 개혁주의 미학의 일반적 특징을 연구하고 이 연구를 기초로 현대 예술의 위기를 극복하기 위한 카이퍼 미학론의 청지기 역할을 제안하는 것이다. 여기서 ‘개혁주의 미학’이란 종교개혁자 존 칼빈(John Calvin)의 신학사상을 이어받은 신칼빈주의의 전통에 서 있는 학자들이 발전시킨 예술이론을 말한다. 한 마디로 정의하자면 개혁주의 미학은 기독교세계관을 바탕으로 이루어진 미학 체계이다. 따라서 개혁주의 미학은 모든 예술을 ‘창조’, ‘타락’, ‘구속’이라는 관점에서 바라보는 미학이다. 그래서 카이퍼는 창조된 세계의 아름다움을 믿는다. 신적 완전의 객관적 실존을 갖는 창조 이후의 세계에 진정한 아름다움이 있음을 시사한 것이다. 또한 그는 누구나 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님의 가장 아름다운 영광을 볼 수 있다고 말한다. 이와 같은 개혁주의 미학의 견해에 비추어 카이퍼는 현대 예술의 위기가 회복될 수 있다고 제안했다. 이와 관련하여 그의 미학은 중요한 세 가지 요인이 작용하는 것으로 보인다. 첫째, 예술의 가장 풍부한 원천은 종교의 영역이며 영원자와의 연관에 의하여 예술은 통일성과 신성화를 얻을 수 있다는 점이다. 둘째, 창조된 아름다움의 세계를 발전시키고 역사와 문화 예술을 가능케 하는 독자적 역할이 일반은총에 존재한다는 점이다. 이 두 요인을 근거로, 셋째, 예술의 세계관적 대립이라는 현실에서 개혁주의 미학의 청지기 역할이 가능하다는 점이다. |
| 영문 초록 | My Dissertation has two aims. First, some general Characteristics of Abraham Kuyper''''s reformed aesthetics are studied, Secondly, the stewardship of Kuyper''''s aesthetic theory in order to overcome a crisis of contemporary arts are studied. Reformed Aesthetics is the aesthetics which has been developed by Neo-Calvinistic scholars. They have followed the theology of reformer, John Calvin. The presupposition of Reformed Aesthetics is Christian (Reformed) worldview. The worldview consists of key concepts, namely ‘creation’, ‘fall’, and ‘redemption’. So Kuyper regards the created world as beauty. According to kuyper, the true beauty is in this created world which shows the existence of God''''s perfection. Also he put great emphasis on the thought that there is no one inch of the area of our human existence which does not belong to Christ who has sovereignty over all things in the world. So one can see the most beautiful glory of God in this world through our Lord Jesus Christ. In this regards, Kuyper suggests that a crisis of contemporary arts in this world can be reformed via Reformed Aesthetics. I think Kuyper''''s aesthetics gives three factors to questions about the matter. First, according to reformed aesthetics, the most abundant source of arts is the realm of Christian religion. This wealth of artistic inspiration was also associated with the eternal God. Secondly, common grace should be the foundation of aesthetics, since God''''s great plan for creation is achieved through common grace. With these two factors, thirdly, there is now possibility that the stewardship of modern reformed aesthetics will make a full reality. |
