국제적인 장애인운동에서 출발한 자기결정의 시대정신이 최근에는 생명윤리적 주제에까지도 자기결정권이 점점 강조되고 있다. 본 연구는 오늘날 생명윤리의 주제에 보편적으로 확산하고 있는 자기결정의 시대정신을 기독교적인 관점에서 조명해봄으로서 올바른 인간관을 정립하고자 하였다. 결국 인간의 생명윤리를 둘러싼 자기결정과 관련된 오랜 논쟁의 출발점은 세계관의 차이이다. 인간중심적인 세계관인 현대주의는 이른바 ‘의미 없는 삶’을 사는 사람에게 인위적인 죽음은 개인적 권리이며 해방구라 본다. 그 반면에 기독교 세계관은 창조-타락-구속이라는 기본구조 위에서 하나님이 우주의 본질이라는 믿음에서 출발하며, 모든 생명은 존귀하며 생명의 주인은 하나님이라고 보는 것이다. 특히 호스피스 제도는 기독교 세계관을 바탕으로 영적인 소망을 가지고 죽음에 대한 심리적인 불안이나 육체적 고통을 최소화하고 마지막 순간까지 생명을 지키며 가능한 품위 있게 인생을 마무리하도록 사회적으로 활성화가 필요한 것으로 사료되는 바이다. |

The Zeitgeist of self-determination, which started from the international move- ment for people with disabilities, has recently emphasized the right to self-determination even in bioethical topics. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to establish a correct view of humanity by illuminating the spirit of the era of self-determination that is universally spreading in the subject of bioethics today from a Christian point of view. After all, the starting point of a long debate about self-determination surrounding human bioethics is the difference in worldview. Modernism, an anthropocentric worldview, sees artificial death as a personal right and liberation for those who live a so-called 'meaningless life'. On the other hand, the Christian worldview starts from the belief that God is the essence of the universe based on the basic structure of creation, fall, and redemption, and sees that all life is precious and that God is the master of life. Therefore, it is considered that the hospice system needs to be socially revitalized to have spiritual hope based on the Christian worldview, to minimize psychological anxiety or physical pain about death, to protect life until the last minute, and to finish life as dignifiedly as possible. |
