| 국문 초록 | 기독교대학의 독특한 특징은 신앙과 학문의 통합이다. 대학수업에서 이뤄지는 신앙과 학문의 통합은 기독교 학습공동체 형성을 목표로 하여 교수자와 학습자간의 관심과 배려를 강조하는 태도적인 접근에서부터 신학적·성경적 원리를 전공지식에 연결하는 접근, 나아가 기독교 세계관적 관점에서 학문의 내용을 재구성하는 접근까지 다양하다. 본 연구는 학습자인 학생들이 신앙과 학문의 통합을 어떻게 이해하고 있는지, 어떤 학습과정이나 활동이 그러한 이해를 돕고 학생들은 이러한 통합적 활동을 통해 얻는 결과를 무엇이라고 인식하는지를 탐색하고 있다. 학생들이 작성한 수업사례 에세이를 분석한 결과 신앙과 학문의 통합에 대한 이해는 다양하였다. 학생들은 전공지식의 원리나 이론의 전제를 비판적 사고로 분석하는 접근, 성경의 진리와 학문의 진리를 동일하게 인정하고 성경의 원리를 전공분야에 적용하는 접근, 혹은 기독교세계관으로 교과목의 지식을 재조명하는 것을 수업에서의 통합이라고 이해하고 있었다. 신앙과 학문의 통합에 도움이 되는 수업의 요소를 분석한 결과 통합을 시도한 인물이나 사례를 통한 모델링이 많았고, 질의응답이나 토론을 통해 통합의 시각을 갖추는 경우도 있었다. 학생들은 이러한 통합 활동을 통해 사고방법의 다양성을 이해하고 기독교적 관점에서 보는 습관이나 태도를 기르게 되었으며, 신앙인으로서의 정체성 확인 뿐 아니라 삶과 진로의 목적이나 방향에 대한 인식을 확고히 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 학생들이 갖고 있는 통합에 대한 인식을 분석한 것으로써 결론 부분에서는 교수자들의 통합에 대한 인식 연구와 학문분야별 통합 접근에 대한 차이 등 향후 과제를 제안하고 있다. |
| 영문 초록 | One of the key features of Christian colleges and universities is the integration of faith and learning. This study is to explore students'' understanding of the integration of faith and learning including possible learning activities helpful for such integration, and perceived influence of the integration. Students'' understanding of the integration varies widely. From an analytic approach where premises and assumptions made for a specific field were critically analyzed, the integration is understood as an application of biblical principles to a content area and also as a reconstruction of content knowledge from the Christian worldview. Students consider exemplary figures and cases introduced during the course to be the most helpful learning activity for their integration efforts. Classroom discussions also enhance their orientation and understanding of the content knowledge from Christian perspective. It is also found that students'' exposure to the integration efforts in a subject area motivates them to continue such efforts in other areas as well. Follow-up studies are suggested in order to examine possible differences in integration approaches across subject areas. |
