| 국문 초록 | 본 연구는 사회복귀시설을 이용하고 있는 정신분열병 환자의 영적안녕 정도에 따른 임파워먼트, 회복의 차이를 비교함으로써 사회복귀를 준비하고 있는 정신분열병 환자의 영적안녕의 의미를 탐색하고 영성적 접근의 함의를 도출하기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 29개의 사회복귀시설을 3개월 이상 이용하고 있는, DSM-IV-TR에 의해 정신분열병으로 진단받은 정신장애인 521명을 대상으로 서베이를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 종교의 유무에 따른 정신장애인의 임파워먼트와 회복정도에는 차이가 없었으나 영적안녕 정도에 따라서는 정신장애인의 임파워먼트와 회복정도에 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 영적안녕의 하위변인인 종교적 안녕, 실존적 안녕의 정도가 높을수록 임파워먼트, 회복의 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 종교유무와 영적안녕 정도에 따라 네 집단을 구분했을 때 임파워먼트의 경우에는 종교가 없고 영적안녕 정도가 높은 경우 임파워먼트 정도가 가장 높았고, 회복의 경우에는 종교가 있고 영적안녕 정도가 높은 정신장애인의 회복 수준이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 종교가 있으나 영적안녕 정도가 낮은 정신장애인의 임파워먼트, 회복 정도가 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 영적안녕 정도와 임파워먼트, 회복정도의 관계를 파악한 결과 매우 높은 상관관계가 있었고 이는 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 종교의 유무 보다는 영적안녕의 정도에 따라 정신분열병 환자의 임파워먼트와 회복의 정도가 달라질 수 있음을 시사해 준다. 따라서, 사회복귀를 준비하고 있는 정신장애인의 임파워먼트와 회복 수준을 높이기 위해 영적안녕상태를 사정(assessment)하고, 영적안녕을 증진시키기 위한 구체적인 방법에 대한 연구의 필요성을 제시하였다. |
| 영문 초록 | This study was done to investigate schizophrenics'' meaning of spiritual well-being using psychiatric rehabilitation centers for the sake of rehabilitation by comparing levels of empowerment and recovery according to the person''s level of spiritual well-being. For this study a survey was conducted on 521 schizophrenics who had been using psychiatric rehabilitation centers for longer than 3 months. According to the results, although there were no differences according to whether or not a mentally ill person was religious or not, results displayed significant differences in a mentally ill person''s levels of empowerment and recovery according to levels of spiritual well-being. Also, levels of empowerment, recovery, and spiritual well-being fluctuated according to religious well-being and existential well-being which are sub-variables of spiritual well being. Moreover, results displayed that the relationship between levels of spiritual well-being, empowerment, recovery were highly correlated and this was a significant result. The results suggest that whether or not a person is religious does not have a significant influence on the levels of empowerment and recovery of schizophrenics, The level of spiritual well-being must be taken into consideration in order to amplify rehabilitation results of schizophrenics, and it seems that development of related programs are essential. Roles of the churches to enhance spiritual well-being of people with mental illness are very important. |
